What is Remedy?
Rather than being based on a practice, such as pilates, exercise or meditation, REMEDY is a group based on principles with a practice that is regularly changing. This is because I've found that single practices can address some aspects of health and wellness, but not all. My goal for Remedy is to create a group that ticks all the boxes.
Each month the group dives into a novel topic with the task of learning something new. The four weekly sessions that make up the month gradually build in difficulty so that by the end of the month you are more physically capable and feel more confident in that task. I try to make the tasks relevant for life outside of the group and give tips and pointers (and sometimes homework!) to help strengthen the idea's covered in the sessions.
I want the group to be accessible to as many people as possible and therefore the classes are donation-based. You pay what you are able to and what you believe is fair. Plus, 20% of the donations go to charity so you know that you are supporting an important cause as well as yourself.
The 6 principles of REMEDY are carefully weaved into each session and I believe each principle is highly important in personal development. They are as follows (click the links to read more).
